“We are providing a one – stop – shop where customers can explore and test – drive the latest EV models – alongside charging solutions,” said Clara Chairman, in a press release at the launch of the world’s first EV Discovery Centre a year ago.
Proceeds from Ontario’s carbon (cap and trade) market invested in Plug ‘n Drive’s EV Discovery Centre support the province’s transition to lower carbon transportation. (see June 2, 2017 blog entry)
The centre is a public – private partnership between Plug ‘n Drive, The Province of Ontario, TD Bank Group, Ontario Power Generation, Power Worker’s Union, Toronto Hydro and Bruce Power. Through education and awareness it is accelerating electric vehicle adoption.
Ontario increased EV adoption by 120% in 2017 according to plugndrive.ca .
