Swiss based ABB, a pioneering leader in electrification products, inaugurated its new high tech Montreal campus in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, on May 24, according to a Canada Newswire press advisory.
The Honourable Bill Moreau, and other Canadian government officials were in attendance along with the President and CEO of ABB Greg Scheu, along with other high ranking officials from ABB.
The campus will house the company’s Canadian headquarters as well as all research and development, manufacturing, assembly and testing activities of ABB’s energy value chain in Quebec. This centre offers a highly interactive learning environment for industry members and academic institutions.
Designated as a global centre of excellence for electric mobility, this new ABB facility will contribute to the Canadian innovation ecosystem and help strengthen Montreal’s leadership in transport electrification.
According to ABB, the company is writing the future of industrial digitalization and driving the Energy and Fourth Industrial Revolutions. They operate in more than 100 countries with about 132,000 employees.
